About this piece

This ornate frame is composed of two cornucopias, agricultural tools, and the skeletal figures of Adam and Eve on either side. Eve, positioned on the left, gazes at the apple that led to the Fall of Man. Adam, on the right, looks at a leaf inscribed with the Latin phrase 'Pulvis es et in pulverem reverteris' (Dust you are, to dust you shall return). At the top center, Noah and his wife hold the coat of arms of Ferdinand II of Tirol.
