Orpheus and the Animals

About this work of art

About this piece

In a serene landscape at the edge of a forest, Orpheus strums his harp. Surrounding him are a diverse array of animals: an elephant, horse, camel, deer, unicorn, lizard, monkey, wolf, wild boar, hare, goat, cow, lion, bear, elk, donkey, and dog. The enchanting music seems to have captivated this unusual audience.
