About this piece

Paul, in a state of ecstasy, is carried to the heavens by two angels and two cherubs. At the bottom margin, there's a two-line Bible verse in Latin from 2 Corinthians 12: 1-4. In the center, a coat of arms featuring three stars and three lizards is crowned with a mitre and staff.
